Never share your OTP, PIN or password
SkyPro Internet staff will never ask for your password, card PIN or OTP code. Here's why, and what to do if someone asks.
SkyPro Internet staff will never ask you for your password, your card PIN or an OTP code sent to your phone. Not by phone, not on WhatsApp, not by email, not in person.
If anyone asks for one of these, they are trying to get into your account or your bank account.
Why these codes matter
- Your password lets someone sign in to your SkyPro Internet account, see your details and make changes.
- An OTP code (a one-time code sent by SMS) is often the last step to approve a payment or a change. Anyone with the code can complete it.
- Your card PIN gives access to your money.
How the trick works
Someone calls or messages you pretending to be from SkyPro Internet or your bank. They say there's a problem with your account and they need "to verify you". Then they send a code to your phone and ask you to read it out.
Important
Never read out, type in or forward a code someone else asked for. A real SkyPro Internet agent will stop you if you start to tell them your password: "Please don't share that with anyone, including us."
Keep your account safe
- Use a strong password for the SkyPro Internet app and portal, and don't use it anywhere else.
- If you think someone knows your password, change it straight away. See reset your password.
- Be careful with urgent messages. Pressure ("do it now or you'll be disconnected") is a common sign of a scam.
Someone has your code or password
- Change your SkyPro Internet password.
- If it involved your card or bank, contact your bank immediately.
- Report it to us.
