How to change your Wi-Fi password

Ask our support team to set a new Wi-Fi password for you. It only takes a message on WhatsApp.

Updated 29 October 2026

Our support team changes Wi-Fi passwords for SkyPro Internet customers. This keeps your router set up correctly, so a small change doesn't cut off your internet by mistake.

How to request a new password

  1. Choose your new password. Make it at least 12 characters long (see the tips below).
  2. Message us on WhatsApp: +234 808 110 4449. You can also use Support in the SkyPro Internet app.
  3. Tell us who you are. Give the name and the phone number or email on your account so we can confirm you are the account holder.
  4. Say what you want to change. For example: "Please change my Wi-Fi password." Our team will tell you the safest way to share the new password with them.
  5. Reconnect your devices. Once the change is done, every phone, laptop and TV will lose the Wi-Fi. On each one, choose your Wi-Fi name again and type the new password.

Tip

Change your password if you think someone you don't know is using your Wi-Fi, or after visitors or former staff have had the old one. See Someone is using my Wi-Fi.

How to choose a good password

  • At least 12 characters. Longer is safer.
  • A short phrase is easy to remember and hard to guess, for example three unrelated words and a number.
  • Don't use your phone number, your name, "12345678" or "password".
  • Don't use the same password you use for email or banking.

Important

Please don't log in to the router or reset it to change the password yourself. A wrong setting can take your internet offline until a technician fixes it. See Why you shouldn't change router settings.

Want a new Wi-Fi name too?

We can change the name at the same time. See How to change your Wi-Fi name.
